Dalek FAX

Faire: Bay Area

Maker: Dalek Fax Containment Unit

Home: California, United States

Dalek FAX is a r/c life size Dalek replica from the British "Doctor Who" sci-fi tv series. Our Dalek V1 was first conceived back in 2013 as a White Hill middle school project to inspire and thrill a group of 7th grade Dr. Who fans. It is fully remote controlled, can play voice lines and move its head around, originally made from all recycled materials and is designed to be able to roam freely and interact with crowds. We loved taking the Dalek V2 and V3 to Maker Faire Bay Area over the years, after hearing about maker faire starting again in 2024, we decided to resurrect him as a family project with a new body design, more features, and a voice-changer. Nick and I finished him during 2024 Maker Faire and have continued working on him over the last year.
