Lune - Gaming Console For Music Instruments

Home: California, United States

Lune is an interplay of hardware and software which brings a new way to game with musical instruments. We’ve created an experience that makes playing music less frustrating by focusing on a gaming-first approach. You come for the fun but stay for the learning. Did you know 90% of people who tried playing a music instrument quit within the first year because it’s hard to stay motivated and gets boring? Moreoever people are now discovering that you don't have to be a musician or a student of music to enjoy playing an instrument. We wanted to build something fun and hence Lune was born. Imagine a Gaming Console but for Musical Instruments. This for the gamers who like to play music and all the musicians who like to game.

Lune Acoustics

Welcome to Lune Acoustics, where we are making the music playing experience fun for everyone. We met our co-creators during grad school and built an everlasting friendship hanging out at the local food trucks, throwing house parties, hiking and camping or biking across mountains and lastly working together on projects beyond Lune.

What Inspired You to Make This?

Shrey and Nag, former roommates at Carnegie Mellon University, both hold master's degrees from CMU. We have had a strong interest in music and enjoy playing instruments. We found that 90% of people stop playing music because it’s hard to stay motivated and gets boring. We recognized the fragmented landscape of music learning, we saw an opportunity to combine our love for gaming and music build a new game console console meant for musical instruments. Our mission is to reimagine the music playing experience, making it accessible, enjoyable, and engaging for all irrespective of proficiency, gender or age. With the super powers of gaming combined with musical instruments acting as controllers, we believe we are going to make sure we bring back fun to families around the world. You focus on playing and we will take care of the rest.
