Beechmont Community Center is home to a Glass studio and a Pottery studio. Both are equipped with kilns for inhouse firings. Classes are offered in both studios, and open studio hours are offered for the Pottery studio. Come create with us!

Xin Chen
Xin Chen is a Chinese-born, US-based artist who combines class and ceramic in her though-provoking artworks. With a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts and a Master's degree from the University of Louisville, Xin's work explores the viewer's relationship with the environment. By embracing her multicultural background, Xin brings a unique voice and perspective to her artwork, bridging traditional Chinese artistic traditions with contemporary practices encountered during her time in America.
Rhonda Snyder
With over 30 years experience in glass art, Rhonda can truly claim it as her artistic calling. Glass work started as a hobby but evolved into a lifetime of creative endeavors. 15 years of her career were spent with Architectual Glass Art and Louisville Glassworks, where she became proficient at glass carving, laminating glass, fiber board mold making, glass enameling, and kiln fired glass. She also co-created the Glassworks Walk in Workshop which is still in operatio
